Johan Östling has been Appointed Wallenberg Academy Fellow

Johan Östling, Pro Futura Scientia Fellow at SCAS and Associate Professor of History at Lund University,
has been appointed Wallenberg Academy Fellow 2017. He receives funding for a five-year period for a
project aiming to investigate how knowledge in the humanities is reshaped and changed as it moves and
circulates in society. The fellowship is funded by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. Östling is the
only researcher within the humanities field to receive funding this time.

Östling was admitted the Collegium's Pro Futura Scientia programme in 2011. His term as a Pro Futura
Fellow is coming to an end at the turn of the year.
